Our Liming Wax was purposely made to work with our Driftwood Weathering Wood Finish. It will lighten and add a beautiful appearance to wood finished with Driftwood Weathering Wood Finish. Driftwood Liming Wax will also work on bare, unfinished wood to give a ‘pickling’ effect as well as matte painted surfaces where you want to lighten the surface. It is suggested you test the wax on an inconspicuous area to test the results. It will also serve to protect the wood.
How to Use: Using a soft dry cloth, apply a small amount of wax in a linear motion following the grain. Rub the wax deep into the grooves and grain of the wood. Wait 4 hours and buff until you will have a soft, matte protective finish.
The table below was finished using Driftwood Weathering Wood Finish, topped by our Natural Beeswax Wood Butter and completed using our Driftwood Liming Wax for a beautiful driftwood weathered look.
In this photo, the table is almost done. I’ve used the liming wax on everything but the drawer front.
